Day 1Marrakech

The drivers will meet you at the airport when you land and will transfer you to the hotel to meet the rest of the group. Free time at your leisure.

Day 2Marrakech - Skoura - Dades Valley - Boumalne

Departure from Marrakech in the morning. Travel over the Atlas Mountains via Tichka Pass (2260m altitude) , and visit the Atlas Cinema Studios then we stop for lunch. Continuing our way by passing on the road of one thousand kasbah till we reach the village of Skoura where we will stop to visit the Amridil kasbah. Through the valley of rose we continue to visit Dades canyons after that we continue on to Boumalne. Dinner at your riad. Overnight in Boumalne.

Day 3Boumalne - Tinghir - Todgha Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga

Depart Boumalne in the morning. Stop at the beautiful Tinghir and the breathtaking Todgha gorges. Continue on to drive through Tinjdad, Mellab and Touroug where we will stop for lunch and wear traditional Berber clothes. After that we stop at Erfoud to visit museum of marble and fossils. Continue on to reach Merzouga in time to take climb the dunes riding camels to watch the sunset from the top of the sand dunes. Dinner at your riad. Enjoy live music around the bonfire after dinner. Overnight in the Sahara.

Day 4Merzouga

We will wake up early to climb the highest dune to watch the sunrise then. After breakfast we will take an excursion through the desert in the SUV, riding up the red dunes, visiting the nomad people of the desert, visiting the Gnawa village with its entrancing music, and enjoying lunch in the Sahara. After that we have a free afternoon to enjoy it by the most beautiful pool. At night we will live music around the bonfire after dinner. Overnight in the Sahara.

Day 5Merzouga - Rissani Market - Nkob - Draa river - Ouarzazate

Depart camp and begin your return journey. First stop, Rissani market then we continue through the village of Nkob crossing the Saghro Mountains and Draa Valley. Driving through Berber villages, mountains and magnificent oasis. Crossing the Anti-Atlas we arrive to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate

Day 6 Ouarzazate - Fint Oasis - Ait Ben Haddou kasbah - Marrakech

Complete your journey to visit Oasis Fint and then to visit Ait Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Crossing the Atlas Mountains once more via Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in time to explore part of the medina. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 7 Marrakech

This day is to explore the corners of the medina of the red city. Our guide will take us through the streets and alleys, show us the artisans, the tapestries, the spices and much more. The afternoon is free to wander the souks, enjoy a traditional hammam, visit museums, or just explore the city. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 8 Marrakech

Departure day. Transfer to the airport.

What type of rooms are we staying in?

You will be staying in a double room. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler of the same gender. In some cases you may be staying in a triple room. Couples will get a private room. If you want a private room please email us at travel@simply-morocco.com there will be an additional fee and it depends on availability.

How do we meet in Marrakech?

Is there an age requirement?

18 years old or older. If you are 16 years old, you need to be accompanied by parents. The price is the same as an adult.

How is the weather?

March marks the beginning of springtime in Morocco. The temperature in Morocco in March grow warmer during the day, with average daytime temperatures of 15°C (59°F) to 24°C (75°F), depending on the area of the country you visit. Nights are still chilly, though, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 11°C (51°F) to 15°C (75°F) degrees.
